14 May 2026 — GR4FITE3 participated to the workshop organized by the Renovate project on May 5th, 2026
Held on 5 May 2026 in Milan, Italy, and organised by Lomartov within the framework of the RENOVATE project, the workshop “Circular batteries: Pathways for an integrated value chain in Europe” represented an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration across European initiatives working on battery circularity, recycling, and sustainable raw materials.
The participation of RINA Consulting, coordinator of the GR4FITE3 project, was particularly relevant as the workshop brought together research projects, industry representatives, innovators, sustainability experts, and regional battery clusters to discuss pathways toward a resilient and climate-neutral European battery value chain. The event fostered dialogue on circular battery solutions, cross-sector synergies, and future collaboration opportunities across the European battery ecosystem.

Through its participation, GR4FITE3 contributed to the broader discussion on sustainable battery materials and circularity strategies, highlighting the importance of securing European raw material value chains and increasing the recovery and reuse of graphite from end-of-life batteries.
The workshop also provided a valuable platform to exchange perspectives on innovation, policy, and industrial deployment, reinforcing the role of clustering activities in accelerating Europe’s transition toward a more sustainable and competitive battery sector.
